Kieran's second bout had been against Lt T'Linda. She was Vice-Admiral Pike's Yeoman on the USS Peacemaker. Both Kieran and his opponent had fought very honourably, and he hoped that this year, the crowd would be a bit more favourable towards him, as he wasn't fighting dirty like he had last year.
The fight had lasted about fifteen minutes and when it was over, Kieran smiled at the Yeoman, and said, "Maybe next year."
He bowed to the Referee and his opponent and went to find out who his next opponent would be.
