OFF: Part I ON: Ta'pez was exhausted, seven matches, day long. He did not have the stomach for much more. The Lunch incident with G'trell had soured his mood, and having to fight a bunch of dishonorable petaqs did little to improve it. The highlight was Kur'rk - but that match had unnerved him and contributed little to his already festering anger over the situation that once more he was going to face during this tournament. He entered the ring to face his last match opponent. It was the Caitian admiral. Jackie looked up, tightening her grip on her betleH as Ta'pez stepped into the ring. She was weary, beaten, sore, hurt and wounded and in a lot of pain, but the Caitian did her best not to show it as she repositioned her betleH in her hands preparing for the fight that was to come. 'Just one more match' she silently told herself, mentally holding herself up and telling herself to tough it out for just one more match. She did not intend to quit, nor did she intend to give Ta'pez an easy fight even if he did win all the previous rounds against his opponents. She would do her best even now. "Last match. Loser buys the bloodwine?" She offered, cocking her head to the side slightly as she prepared herself for the upcoming fight. Ta'pez chuckled. "Sounds like a fair offer to me." The referee went through his little banter as usual and then hurriedly stepped outside of the battle area. "Admiral." Ta'pez said while raising the sword. Jackie nodded curtly, raising her own blade, forcing herself to concentrate on the battle ahead and ignore anything else. Odds were not in her favour, but the Caitian wasn't going to let that stop her. She watched Ta'pez, waiting for him to make the first move as she tried to guess what was on his mind. Unlike before Ta'pez decided to end this match quickly, he didn’t want to go against the Caitian in a show or test of endurance. He launched quickly - probing attacks - conservative and safe, hoping for the admiral to forget herself and make some mistake that would take her down. Jackie held up her blade to fend off his attacks, where she could, she returned the favour by sending her blade at Ta'pez only to have it blocked by his blade. Gritting her teeth, the Caitian averted yet another attack as she thrust her blade out at the Klingon in a series of moves in an effort to catch him with her blade, at the same time watching out for his blade. She was up against someone who was way more experienced than her, she might as well give him a fight and make it harder for him to win it. They disengaged and circled, Ta'pez tried to display his strengths hide his weaknesses and most of all save his strengths. Jackie let out a low growl as she circled along with Ta'pez, watching his every move, watching for any signs of something he might do, watching for a weakness, waiting for a good moment to strike. Tightening the grip on her betleH, the Caitian's tail flickering behind her, she did her best to hide her pain, and concentrate on the opponent in front of her. In a swift move that briefly jarred her senses, the Caitian swung her blade around and aimed it at Ta'pez's side. Ta'pez jumped to the side but not before another piece of his armour was shredded. He growled himself and the Caitian found herself in the midst of a maelstrom of attacks. The battle once more grew fierce. The crowd watched intently, they wondered whether the Klingon would make it, because no matter what it seemed that at this point the Caitian was the one with more stamina. Blows were exchanged, kicks and sweeps given and received and received and nothing could help. Jackie deflected almost all the blows that came her way whilst ducking some of the others and having no choice but to receive yet other blows. The Caitian gritted her teeth, clearly in pain but she refused to give up as she swung her blade around once again. She tensed up as she shifted her position slightly and their blades locked in place. Tightening the grip on her betleH, Jackie glanced at her opponent silently, her eyes watching and waiting for his next move. OFF:
