Title: You want fries with that
Post by Wado on Feb 18th, 2006, 2:54pm

Rear Admiral Duerkes took a seat in the corner of the Lucky Strike Bar and Grill.  He only had a half hour to spare before he was needed back at the competition.  He knew the change in format for this year would mean a lot more matches to oversee but he didn't realize how much more intense it would be for the Judges. Still he reminded himself it was worth it and was happy to take a minute or two for some grub.

A short Bajoran Cadet who had been assigned to assist the Admiral for the day quickly appeared next to the Wade.  He looked slightly out of breathe as he had been running around for the Admiral most of the day.

"Can I get you anything Admiral?"

"I thought I told you to take a break after you delivered those PADDS? Its lunch time you know."

"Yes sir, but I'm only on duty for another 2 hours and I'm meeting someone for lunch then."

"Very well.  If you could get me a cheeseburger with a side of fries and Cadet, I want replicated ones following the old McDonald's recipe from Earth. NOT the standard replicator recipe."

"But sir, if I may the replicators are set for healthy alternatives which still taste rather good."

Wade waved a hand. "I know, I know there not bad but their not the same either. If I wanted to eat healthy I wouldn't be ordering a cheeseburger with fires. So if you would please."

"Aye sir".

The cadet ran off to the replicator leaving Wade to his thoughts.

Entering the bar Lex took a moment to take a look around.  With so many people he was still uneasy.  Being a bit germaphobic was definitely problematic at times, especially at such an event as this.  Playing with his black gloves Lex noticed and Admiral sitting by himself.  Trying to remember which one it was he was able to remember that he was one of the tournament judges.  Deciding to take a chance Lex went over to the bar and made a quick lunch order.  With his order placed he made his way threw the tables and throngs of people.

Trying to look relaxed, "Greetings Admiral Duerkes, I hope I'm not intruding.  I was wondering if you would mind if I join you?"

As the young officer approached Wade, the other two judges appeared on the horizon behind him.  Droj was laughing heartily while K'Hare was pushing him along seeming very determined.

Having left ness on his own for a moment, the Caitian caught up to K'Hare. Nodding a polite greeting to the judges she addressed the Klingon

"K'Hare. Can I have a moment?" she inquired. "if you can spare one that is"

K'Hare nodded at the caitian.  "Please, join us."  K'Hare let go of neirbo and ushered Clawson to an open chair.  "Gentlemen, this is Jackie, the new TFCO of 58.  I think she needs some advice from some seasoned staff officers."  K'Hare sat down.  "Less than a year ago both Wade and I were in the position you are in now."

"Ehrm...." Jackie couldn't really object as she was ushered into a chair. "ehrm.. actually I had a query about something Klingon related" she said, having completely forgotten that she was indeed a Task Force CO. "but... heh.. thank you for reminding me I'm also a Task Force CO" she smiled lightly.

K'rahl ate his food quietly.  The meats he had selected were all lightly cooked and he was certain all were real.  The qagh on the station was suspect, he had decided not to even try it.  Possibly it was orQanmey, if so it would be a palatable variation.

He looked around but couldn't see any of the KDB crew other than K'Hare.  He was hardly going to ask him if he had seen Ghoti.  It would keep, he could find out in time for his evening meal.

K'Hare nodded.  "Please, go ahead.  Each has had his experience with Klingons," he pointed at Wade and neirbo, " or if this is something new to them, then they too will learn something.  What's the problem?"

The waiter showed up with a bloodwine and a rare piece of meat that looked to be more like a small roast than a thick steak.  K'Hare used his hands to rip a small bit off and popped it into his mouth, then licked his fingers.  "It would be better raw but at least the blood hasn't been cooked out."

Taking a seat quickly Lex was a bit intimidated by all the brass now at the table.  Even still he listened intently hoping to catch any bits of wisdom.

"Actually I'm not sure he's a full blood" Jackie noted. "Short, short hair, less muscular than most others" she described the Klingon, choosing to keep what happened to herself for the moment and treadding step by step, maybe with K'hare and Dan she would've let the cat out of the bag right away, but with so many new people at the table, Jackie wasn't so sure. "Seems to be eager to pick a fight in bars"

"You mean K'Vok, ta'pez's bodyguard.  He is part vulcan."  He noticed her surprise.  "I have read the bios of every competitor.  He is doing well and is guarenteed a spot in the final rounds."

K'Hare took a drink from his tankard and another bite of his food.  "His associations would make me think he is not ... fully educated in Klingon culture.  Perhaps this problem is some confusion related to that."  K'Hare's face showed a little annoyance.  "Klingon culture is old and complex.  It is much older than terran or many of the federation races... though there are some just as old.  Eagerness to fight in bars shows a lack of maturity and this human misconception about Klingon behavior is tiresome.  But that is a lesson for another day.  What has k'vok done?  I am sure it is not so complex."

Apparently oblivious to her discomfort, he ate another bite and licked off his fingers.

Post by Jackie Clawson on Feb 20th, 2006, 8:49am

"Forgive me, K'hare I meant no disrespect towards the  Klingon culture in any way" Jackie said. "I have seen for myself that not all Klingons are eager to pick fights in bars" she smiled lightly, recalling her confrontation with toreQ.

"It's this K'Vok , in fact who raised a few queries in my mind. His behaviour in particular"  she noted straightening her tunic a bit, the Caitian proceeded to tell her tale of confrontation with K'Vok shortly after she left Dan's quarters last night.

The Bajoran Cadet had returned with Wade's food and looked surprised to see the Admiral suddenly surronded. Wade smiled, more at his food then the Cadet and motioned that Wade had things under control.

K'hare's words were ones Wade had heard before from his Klingon friend.  As much as he hated to admit it K'hare was right about how many had the wrong impression on Klingon culture.  Wade thought back to his early days in the academy and how different his view had been. Since then he learned alot but still had much to learn.

"It a sad fact that even as advanced as we have become, we still fall into the trap of sterotyping.  If everyone realized a culture is more complex then that the galaxy would be a better place. I also agree with K'hare that the eagerness to get into a bar fight is a maturity issue and having a lack of maturity is not limited to one race.  Lord knows there were times when I was younger when I needed to have a bit more maturity then I possesed at the time. Lucky for me I had people who 'helped' me to mature faster."

Wade grabbed a couple fries off his plate and started to chew them. He then looked over at Lexan.

"Don't be shy Lieutenant. Feel free to jump on in the discussion."

K'Hare nodded at what Wade said but was looking at Jackie.  "I did not think you were insulting Klingons... its why I haven't started a bar fight."  He smiled and took a drink.  "You are asking questions and want to learn.  No dishonor in that."

K'Hare listened to her story trying to catch all the details.  He was hearing something in the story that was ... troubling.  "When he left, how did he leave the bar?  And how was he breathing... was he *huffing*?  And since then, how has he reacted near you?"

Title: Re: You want fries with that
Post by Jackie Clawson on Feb 20th, 2006, 1:06pm

Jackie let out a short laugh at the Klingon's line. It's been barely two days that she has met K'Hare, and the Caitian very much enjoyed his company and words; starting from the opening ceremony. The dinner in Dan's quarters was just the 'icing on the cake'.

She nodded, getting back to business as K'Hare started asking questions.

"Yes... he was...breathing heavily when he left. you might say huffing yes" she nodded again, then shrugged to his second question. "I've not seen him much since to know how he's reacted near me." She cocked her head. "Why?" she inquired, her curiocity levels peaqued at the Klingon's line of questions so far.

He was almost grinning.  "It is probably nothing.  Are you sure he hasn't been around?  Think back.  Does he seem to be everywhere you are, by coincidence?  Is he always around?  I know he was here a short while ago.  He didn't like you talking to jacob, but I attributed that to his knowing the man."

Title: Re: You want fries with that
Post by Jackie Clawson on Feb 20th, 2006, 1:16pm

Jackie raised an eyebrow, not entirely sure what the Klingon's grin meant.

"I might have seen him around, but then we are both competitors in the tournament, it's likely we would cross paths once or twice." she said.

Jackie shrugged.

"I'm not sure exactly where. We never made eye contact more than for a moment before moving on. But then i can say the same thing about anyone I run into" Jackie shrugged, pausing to think about this for a moment. She recalled what Ness had told her "What? You think he's trying to kill me?" she queried. 'that'll be the day....' she thought dryly, then smirked 'actually yeah... that WILL be the day. It's been awhile since someone did try to kill you...' she thought

K'Hare laughed a full belly laugh.  "No, no... I am afraid it is more serious than that."

Title: Re: You want fries with that
Post by Jackie Clawson on Feb 20th, 2006, 2:01pm

"More serious than an attempt to kill?" she asked, slightly confused as the Klingon laughed. "Does he wish to challenge me in the arena then?" Jackie inquired, really not sure where this was heading. What would K'Vok want other than a re-match after last night's fight.

Title: Re: You want fries with that
Post by K`Hare totlh on Feb 20th, 2006, 4:33pm

"I'm afraid the battle he wants it not fought with betleHmey... well, not usually."  K'Hare stopped laughing to drink.

K'Hare looked more serious now... or at least over his amusement.  "You have already admitted you have much to learn about Klinogn culture.  I am afraid this k'vok has his own lessons to learn.  He has mixed up some of his culture training and misinterpreted much.  I see it all the time with my students.  Many of them were raised in between two Empires.   It is surprising how far an individual can go with some basic misunderstanding that catches them at the worst time.  One of my top students, roS'neQar recently found himself mated.  I fear I didn't lecture them on romantic rituals."

Title: Re: You want fries with that
Post by Wado on Feb 20th, 2006, 4:59pm

Wade had listened to K'hare and Clawson as he continued to eat. At hearing the story of roS'neQar, Wade almost choked on the food he was chewing.  After a cough he took a drink and cleared his throat.

"Sorry, went down the wrong pipe." Wade said as he unsuccessfully surpressed a smile. "And I thought death was the biggest consequence for ones actions.  See we all learn something new here"

Kur'rk walked in and hered Wade's statement.  He paused by the table, b'muan and moH'Hom walked on to join K'rahl.

"You've not heard the worst..."  he said casually,  "I have heard that the lunatic K'Vok has found himself a Federtation be'."

Having heard the rest of the conversation at the table K'rahl wondered what his father would think about his careless comments.  He welcomed his sister and moH'Hom, both sat ajnd joined in the feast.

"The lamb is good, it tastes young." b'muan commented.

"I prefer mutton, myself." moH'Hom stated.

"I too," K'rahl agreed.

"So rumors have started Kur'rk?   Who is he seeking, or have you heard that?"

He looked around the table.  "This is Kur'rk, Klingon Ambassador stationed on XFY.  Admirals Duerkes, neirbo, and Clawson."

He nodded in greeting to the assembled Admirals.

"No, I haven't heard who it is." he said.  "I over heard two weHwI', I'm not sure but they may be the crew from MorloQ's Dropship.  Which makes them part of the same crew under Ta'pez."

He looked over at K'rahl.  "From what K'rahl has said K'Vok lets his emotions run wild and when that happens he gets obsessive.  He almost killed Sinatra, at least once."

Q'olavraH moved distractedly toward the Lucky Strike. As she entered, her nose caught the scent of her former mate.  Her heart hammered in recognition, before her brain kicked in.  By the time she actually looked up from the PADD she carried her face was devoid of any emotional responce at all.

She glanced casually around, letting her eyes rest on K'rahl for only a second before moving on and eventually landing on K'Hare and his companions.  She gauged whether there was room at their table or not.  She had yet to confront her friend about her new quarters.

She was hungry, and K'Hare had a slab of meat in front of him so she moved that way, hoping she wouldn't loose an arm if she tried to get a taste of his dinner.  This thought made her grin, or was it the fact that the waiter set a course for her with a full tankard before she was halfway to her destination that made her grin, or perhaps it was the fact she would get to say hello to Ku'urk?

Jackie blinked, listening to what K'Hare said and following the exchange of words between him and several Klingons as well as RAdm Duerkes afterwards. She cocked her head to one side.

"Are you implying...." she paused, shaking her head lightly. "Oh hell no...." she protested glancing at  K'Hare to either confirm or deny what she just thought.

The moment she entered he caught her scent.  His eyes flared and his breathing became uneven.

b'muan looked at her brother with more than a little concern.  His face was almost contorted in rage...  Rage of a sort that could cause a lot of trouble.

The Shieldmaidens tensed.  The situation was hardly unexpected,  they were amazed it had taken almost a full day on the station to occur.

"Brother!" b'muan said in a deep tonme.

He barely heard her.  He stared across the room and his fists clenched and unclenched.

moH'Hom paled.  He was aware of exactly what was happening and why.  The desire to be elswhere consumed him.

K'rahl stood, knocking his chair aside without intention.  With as much control as he could muster he walked away from the table and towards an exit, chosing a path that would avoid Q'olavraH.

The Shieldmaidens went to follow and moH'Hom looked at b'muan for guidance, she shook her head and indicated he should continue to eat.

Kur'rk heard the chair go over and looked.  His son was leaving and Q'olavraH was entering.  He had hios orders, he would not interfere.  However nor would he ignore Q'olavraH.

Instead he ignored his son.  No matter how much he understood the pain that burnt him he knew that followiong him was not a good idea.  Only one thing could ease this pain, well there were two ways.

So ignoring K'rahl he smiled warmly to Q'olavraH.

For a moment Jackie just stared at the Klingon, not too sure why was he laughing exactly as confusion filled her mind once again.

"I didnt ' say it was a problem, but it might very well turn into one...." she slowly said.

"but I highly doubt he is being reasonable.... is he?" she inquired, shaking her head lightly "and.. he hasn't attempted to....ehrm...." she trailed off blinking anew unable to say the next word. "he hasn't attempted anything so far." she said instead. "Has he....?"

Title: Re: You want fries with that
Post by K`Hare totlh on Feb 20th, 2006, 8:56pm

"Of course he hasn't tried anything.  He is waiting for you to finish testing him."  K'Hare laughed again and now he was out of drink.  He flagged down a waitron.

"And you are correct, he is not being reasonable.  Well, I assume so, based on what you said.  To be sure I would have witnessed the time in the bar where you let your intentions known."  He almost laughed again.

K'Hare moved over a little to make room for Q'olavraH.  He didn't introduce her because he assumed everyone here knew who she was.

"Finish testing him on what? Let my intentions known? My only intentions at the time were to shut him up" she remarked still not quite comprehending the situation to the full extent.  "You cant be serious, K'Hare" she noted. "I can't have a Klingon.. half blood or full blood coming after me in such a way...." she said, incredulous at even the sheer idea of this.

Taking a bit of his sandwich Lex thought to himself that he was glad he had taken the initiative.  That and he was having a good laugh.  Not to disrespect the Admiral of course but she was definitely in a situation.  "Forgive me Admiral Clawson, but you might want to cut this thing short before this K'Vok tries taking it to the next level.  Plus you might want to make sure that you make you point clear.  Klingons can be persistent if you don't make it clear.  No offense honorable totlh."  Taking a moment Lex couldn't believe that a officer of his grade had just given advice to an Admiral.  He hoped he hadn't over stepped his bounds.

K'Hare looked angry and gave Clawson a serious look.  "You are too good for a Klingon?"

He held the stare until Q'olavraH, sitting next to him and picking at his plate snorted.  Then he laughed.

"No, I am teasing you.  Don't be so serious."  He took a drink.  "How to handle this is a serious question, though.  This k'vok has interpreted your agressive response in the bar as an expression of your own interest in him.  He is now giving you the time to test him, to see if he is worthy.  If you reject him now, he will be insulted."

"No, just having a mate right now would complicate things a lot more for me...." She said; she haven't even started her Task Force duties 'officially' for most part, and she was sure that would be complicated enough as is, relationships always seemed to complicate matters more, especially since one was so deep into one's work as Jackie was.

As a matter of fact, I think a Klingon would be one of the more... appropriate mates for someone of my... " Jackie smirked. "character...I mean I seem to have gotten the aggressive part of 'letting your intentions known' down well even if I didn't realise it at the time..." Jackie chuckled lightly trying to cover up her uneasiness over discussing such a topic.

"But ah...  his reaction doesn't seem warranted..." She noted. "I mean toreQ and I met under peculiar circumsances, but he hardly took my glare at him for spilling his drink all over me as a... mating call.. or start of one...." she said. "I'm sure that ah... " Jackie trailed off giving her head a little shake to get her train of thought back. "K'Vok's interpretation of my actions... was it reasonable? It doesn't appear to be otherwise I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be the only one found in such a situation on Serenity Base right now..."

Glancing at Lexan he wondered why he had only exempted K'Hare from his comments.

Kur'rk listened to Clawson then commented, "I am not suprised toreQ did not react that way, from what I understand toreQ is mated.  I may be wrong, I could hardly say know him."

"A mated male would hardly make advances.  Its just not the way we Klingons behave."

K'Hare took a drink and pretended to consider the problem.  Out of the corner of his eye he saw Q'olavraH getting ready to laugh.  No doubt she knew his plan.

He put his drink down, the effects of the stuff finally beginning to show.  He pushed himself up, a little wobbly, and then, cocked back his arm and leaned forward to punch at the caitian.  It was a slow and clumsy swing but it would connect if ...

"'ey!" she brought herself back up to her former position glanging up at the Klingon, as she rubbed at her ear, throwing a glare at the Klingon before her expression softened a bit "Taking the human expression of 'hitting on' someone to the next level there K'Hare...." she remarked dryly, in a half kidding tone.

Jackie took a step back finding herself in a corner as the Klingon came on again.

Her mind was racing, wondering if this was another joke , was he trying to tell her something or did she somehow offend him. She was too busy thinking to not avert the next punch that came her way. the force of the punch threw her head back hitting it against the wall, Jackie released a low growl and letting instinct kick in, the Caitian came back with her own swing aimed at the Klingon.

K'Hare stopped and earned a punch to the face for it.  The effect of it was odd and almost comical.  It also seemed the small conflict removed the effects of the alcohol.  He suddenly seemed stable and unaffected by the drinking.

He took a step back and seemed to be... pouting.  "You hit me.  Why did you hit me?"  Then he suddenly looked shocked.  "You were flirting with me?"  He looked around the table, his grin belying the confused look of his face.

Jackie blinked, slightly confused as her senses settled down and realization on what he'd done had hit her square in the face.

"you... I..." she paused.

The Caitian felt embarrased for a moment. She couldn't even imagine herself flirting with anyone, let alone actually do it with K'Hare

She was speechless for a moment, before she broke into a grin showing her fangs. Jackie chuckled, shaking her head.

"technically you started it first" she grinned. "since you hit me first, I just responded as I normally would've..."

"Maybe I was attempting to court you?"

In the background K'Hare heard Q'olavraH snort.

Jackie stared, before she took a hold of a chair to keep herself upright, this conversation wasn't going too well. She wasn't too fond of talking about mating and courting if the two words stood along with her name somewhere in the sentence.

He reached over the table and grabbed his tankard to take a drink.

"There could be many reasons for you to attack me. Perhaps I annoyed you in some way.  Offended you... or you were driving your point home thus explaining it by demonstrating it rather than just telling me." she said. "Or you were looking to pick a fight with me...." she added. "but a..." she waves her hand in the air before continuing "an interest in courting would be far down on my list of reasons.." she noted

"Right now, just a few moments ago, I attacked you, why?  In the context of what was going on, why did I do it?"

"To explain why K'Vok did what he did.. You.. To get a response from me to hit you back.. then you said I was... ehrm.. flirting with you..." she said "but " she trailed off, her mind not really ready to take in the notion of what the Klingon was suggesting.

"Close enough.  The point is, there was a reason for me to attack.  You know why I attacked.  Now, why did you attack k'vok in the bar last night?"

"I threw my mug at him, he was the one who attacked me after that." she said. "But...reason why I threw the mug was an attempt to shut him up as he was getting to be downright...he was getting on my nerves..."

"And yet he doesn't see that.  He thinks you 'attacked' him for different reasons.  Is that your fault?  In context should he have known what you did?  Many of the students I have have heard that a be' throwing things is courting, but it isn't that simple.  Always, context is important.   When you are attacked, there is a reason.  If you can find no other reason, then perhaps it is a statement from one to the other that they want to be noticed, that they seek a closer relationship.  Even then, it doesn't always mean you wish to mate.  Having someone throw a mug at you in a bar is hardly a bold statement.  Doing it daily is.  Generally a be' will make the first move, and that move will be bold so there is no doubt what is intended."

Q'olavraH snorted again.  "Only because males are too stupid to read the signs we give out.  We could be more subtle if males had any common sense."

K'Hare laughed.  "I can't argue that."  He took a long drink.  "From what you have said you have made no advance bold enough to send him a message.  He is simply misunderstanding your intent because he doesn't have a complete understanding of Klingon culture."

As K'hare and Clawson were exchanging 'punches', Wade had to motion to the lounge manager that everything was ok. The manager looked uneasy but after seeing the 'pips' of those invovled he went back to his work with an eye still on their table. Wade tried to finsih his burger but he couldn't.  The entertainment that came with dinner was all too appealing.  One thing Wade always loved about K'hare was his direct nature. He wish more beings were like that at times.

"If I may say Admiral" Wade finally spoke up as he directed his commetns to Clawson "I understand your reasoning for discussing this with K'hare. God knows I have consulted with him many times myself, he is a wise Klingon.  But why not take your questions straight to the source? Regardless of what your intial intentions were know one will no better what K'vok was thinking then K'vok."

K'Hare didn't seem at all uncomfortable about discussing Clawson's romantic life in public.

"Wade is correct.  Though in this case I think gaining understanding before talking to him was a wise move."  He took another drink.  "But you must be cautious with him until this is cleared up, unless of course you would accept him as a suitor."  K'Hare took a sip to hide a snicker.  "Your best move would be to make it clear to him you have no romantic interest without making him commit to having an interest in you.  If you can find a way to do this, then he will stop and it will end.  Perhaps make it clear that you do not approve of cross species relationships... unless you do and later he finds out you lied to him.  Find a way to mention others courting you or your intent to avoid romantic entanglements in your new post.  Whatever the truth is."

Q'olavraH snorted again.  "Don't hint that he isn't suitable... because then he will stalk you forever trying to prove his worth.  Males are such fragile creatures."

K'Hare gave her a frown.  "If it comes to it, and he acts inappropriately you can simply slap him in public.  That will make the message clear.  But doing that will insult him and if he believes you initiated this, he may react badly."

K'Hare walked back around the table.  It was clear he thought the demonstrative part of the lesson was over.  When he sat back down he looked at his empty plate then looked at the back of his comm badge to see the time and frowned.  His plate was nearly empty and Q'olavraH looked quite satisfied licking her fingers.  He growled and said, "It's hard work being a judge.  Now I will starve."

"In order to take my questions straight to the source, I first have to have the questions" Jackie replied to Wade. "I wasn't aware I was being.... chased after in such a way until just now" the Caitian replied. "Were I to confront him without knowing the situation in full, I'm sure there would've been more problems"

"That's really IS the last thing I need in my life right now" she smiled lightly. "but how do  I make it clear to him that I have no interest in these things without aggravating him further." she wondered outloud. "he's already mistook one of my motions for something that it wasn't, it's likelty if I tell him I have no interest, he might take it as me testing him and thus I'm back at square one..." she noted.

'fine mess you gotten yourself into this time, hotshot... You always seem to attract weirdos....' she thought to herself.

K'Hare picked up a refill Q'ol had obtained for him and took a drink, then he looked at Clawson.  "Sounds like you fully appriciate the problem now."

Jackie let out a small chuckle.

"Does this happen often?" she inquired.

K'Hare shrugged.  "More than it should, but not very.  It happens more often when species mix.  In this case, k'vok thinks he understands Klingon courting but no doubt, his training in that aspect of our culture was insufficient."

OFF:

Yes, I have read the bio.  I just assume I don't know what's really wrong with him.

"Suppose this isn't something I can just ignore until he goes away, is it?" Jackie asked, half-hoping she could just do that, but half aware that it's not something she could indeed ignore for long.

Q'olavraH just sat listening to K'Hare 'teaching'.  She liked it when he was in teacher mode and she could toss in a barbed comment now and then.

She grinned at his comment about starving but only waved for the waiter to bring them another round of drinks.

"If you just ignore him he might think that you need more proof that he is suitable.  There really is no 'easy' way out of this."  She took a drink and looked at K'Hare.

"You should teach your students this aspect of Klingon life early in their lessons.  Look at roS.  He was mated before he even knew what happened to him!" She laughed and took another drink.  "I could teach them these things if you wish it."

"You're hired."  He grinned at her.  This subject was not one he was comfortable explaining to a bunch of young, hormonal Klingons.

An adult, and one that he could tease was a different matter.  "I told you, simply slap him in public.   That will send the message.  But he may take offense.  Try hinting to him, failing that, tell him, and failing that, slap him.  And be on guard after."

"Didn't think so..." Jackie smirked at Q'olavraH, quite amused by her comments so far.

She smirked at K'Hare.

"Slapping him I woudln't have a problem with, I'm more worried I'd do something more...radical than a slap" she admitted. "then I'm sure things just wont' get any better."

"Maybe not better, but simpler.  His *intentions* would change."  He laughed at his own joke.

OFF:

He said intentions in English, not standard.  Why he thinks its funny is anyone's guess.

Jackie raised an eyebrow.

"think I'd rather get challenged to a deathmatch...have a better chance of winning that , than handling... possible mating issues..." Jackie twitched lightly, shaking her head half amused at how she ended up in a situation like that in the first place.
